Tasting Notes and Scores
Aromas of sweet orchard fruit, white flowers and oyster shell introduce the 2022 Chablis Village, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and charming wine that's pure and saline. This cuvée benefits from a considerable proportion of old vines, planted in the 1950s and 1960s, and it's hand harvested in small cases.

The 2022 Chablis Village, due for certification with the 2023 vintage, has a steely nose with touches of lime and apple blossom. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Quite classic and cool in style. A bit short, though, with sufficient salinity to keep the saliva flowing. Fine.

Full bottle 1,300 g. Very pure indeed. Vindicates the reputation of the 2022 vintage in Chablis. Juicy, green-fruit flavours and some suggestion of wet stones. Very neat and already approachable but no hurry to drink. Super-pure. (JR)

Ripe fruit, almost a touch of pineapple but pulled back by stony citrus. Dry, chewy, firm. Good balance between ripe fruit and freshness and a nicely chalky finish. (JH)
